IB @ TSRS Moulsari

A globally recognised Diploma Programme

Middle School students learning together at The Shri Ram School

At The Shri Ram School, Moulsari, we offer the globally recognised International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), an academically challenging and balanced programme for students aged 16 to 19. Renowned for its rigorous and application-based curriculum, the IBDP fosters holistic development to address the intellectual, social, emotional and physical well-being of students. Our primary goal is to cultivate a lifelong love for learning among our students, preparing them with the skills and mindset needed for success in an ever-changing global society.

Our team of experienced and dedicated teachers, well-versed with the latest pedagogies, employs innovative teaching methodologies to unlock the potential in each child and nurture the development of key attributes of the IB learner.

The ATL (Approaches to Learning) framework in the IB curriculum provides a transformative experience focusing on essential skills. Through this framework, our students develop the abilities needed to become global-minded citizens, prepared to navigate and contribute to an interconnected world.

Approaches to Teaching & Learning

Central to the IB: the ATL framework

The Approaches to Learning (ATL) framework equips students with essential skills for success in an interconnected world.

The IB Approaches to Learning (ATL) wheel — Thinking, Self-Management, Communication, Social and Research skills

Some of the guiding principles include:

  • Inquiry-based and concept-focused learning
  • Developed in local and global contexts
  • Experiential and collaborative learning
  • Differentiated to suit diverse needs
  • Informed by assessment
The IB programme never stops at ‘what’ — it delves into the ‘how’, ‘why’ and even dares to explore ‘can it be different?’, pushing the boundaries of learning and instilling a lifelong love for learning.

The IB Learner Profile

Ten Attributes of an IB learner

At the heart of the IB philosophy is the Learner Profile — a set of ten attributes that nurture internationally minded individuals who recognise their shared humanity and responsibility towards the world around them.

The Learner Profile encourages students to grow not only as successful learners but also as compassionate, responsible, and reflective individuals who contribute positively to their communities and the wider world.

The IBDP Curriculum

Six academic areas, one core

The IB Diploma Programme is specifically designed to equip students for success in higher education and life within a global society. Its comprehensive framework caters to the intellectual, social, emotional and physical well-being of students, ensuring a holistic approach to their development.

The IB Diploma Programme curriculum framework — six academic areas surrounding the core: Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity, Service

Extended Essay

Independent research through an in-depth study of a question relevant to a chosen DP subject, culminating in a 4,000-word essay — with an interdisciplinary pathway also available.

Theory of Knowledge

A critical-thinking course asking “how do we know what we claim to know?”, exploring the nature of knowing across subjects and deepening understanding of knowledge as a human construction.

Creativity, Activity, Service

Creativity promotes the arts and creative thinking, Activity develops a healthy lifestyle, and Service engages students with their communities — enabling experiential learning and self-discovery.
